Join BMRG's Cool Burn Squad for a practical, walk-and-talk workshop exploring how to read Country and assess whether conditions are right to put fire on the ground. What We'll Explore Preparing for fire season: Perspectives from the Cool Burn Squad, BPAC Rangers and QFD Walk and read Country: Looking at vegetation, fuel loads, soil moisture and weather to decide whether it's right to burn Sharing knowledge and perspectives: Learning from different approaches to fire preparation and reading Country Please note: A burning demonstration may be possible on the day, depending on weather and site conditions.
