THEODORE WIND FARM CONNECTION PROJECT Powerlink has been engaged by RWE Renewables Australia (RWE) to connect their proposed Theodore Wind Farm Project, located approximately 20 kilometers (km) east of Theodore in Central Queensland, to the electricity grid. The project includes:  constructing a 56km-long, 275kV double circuit transmission line from the proposed Castle Creek Substation to the proposed Mt Benn Substation. The Mt Benn Substation is part of the Banana Range Wind Farm Connection Project and does not form part of the Theodore Wind Farm Connection Project.  building a new 275kV substation, to be known as the Castle Creek Substation and located within the Theodore Wind Farm. Powerlink is applying for planning approval under the Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) process. We have submitted a MID Proposal Report to the Department of State Development, Infrastructure and Planning under Chapter 2, Part 5 of the Planning Act 2016.
